About

The UPSTREAM project has two principal areas of work:-

1. Estimation of the scale of the impact that the built environment has on human health in monetary terms

2. Exploration with those who control the development of our towns and cities how we can minimise health costs

The UPSTREAM project considers the UK urban development contexts currently, but with a view to future international application. The project started on February 1st 2016 and runs through until January 31st 2019. UPSTREAM is led by a trans-disciplinary steering group made up of experienced academics and practitioner-researchers in public health, urban development, governance and economics.
